Discussed in the opening episode of I Love Limerick’s Podcast show, were the recent events that the I Love Limerick crew attended last week, such as Ireland had its 2nd Annual Cystic Fibrosis Art Exhibition, called ‘Expression of Experience’, which took place at the CB1 Gallery Limerick and also VTOS Further Education and Training Centre, Kilmallock Road Campus held an Art, Craft and Design open day.

Also discussed were other news stories in Limerick, such as Limerick designer Derek Anthony Purcell’s involvement with the designer, Gabriella Slade, for the Spice Girls tour and the Bank of Ireland Limerick held a Financial Wellbeing event with BEO Wellness.

Upcoming events taking place next week were also spoken about, such as The Alliance Française Tres Court Festival which will take place at the Belltable and the Limerick Printmakers have released information on their summer courses.

On Wednesday, May 22 Ireland’s Second Cystic Fibrosis Art Exhibition was launched at the CB1 Gallery on O’Connell Street. The exhibition features artworks exclusively by people with Cystic Fibrosis. The theme this year is Expression of Experience which features eight amazing artists showcasing their skills in art and design.

Richard is a presenter, producer, songwriter and actor. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year (2011) and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards (2011) for promoting multi-culturalism online. Richard says that the ilovelimerick.com concept is very much a community driven project that aims to document life in Limerick. So, that in 20 years time people can look back and remember the events that were making the headlines.
