Discussed in the opening episode of I Love Limerick’s Podcast show, were the recent events that the I Love Limerick crew attended last week, such as Roisin Meaney’s 16th Book Launch in O’Mahoney’s Bookstore on June 27 for her new book The Birthday Party. They also spoke about the launch of the JP McManus Pro-Am Pre-Qualifier event by Tait House Community Enterprise June 26 which aimed to raise funds for the expansion plans at the Tait House facility in Southill. 

Also discussed were other news stories in Limerick, such as the Limerick Chamber event that hosted French honorary consul Dr Loïc Guyon on June 26, where Dr Guyon highlighted the key areas he intends to focus on in order to deepen French relations in the Mid-West of Ireland. 

Upcoming events taking place next week were also spoken about, such as the Designer Minds Summer Camp running from Monday, July 8 to Monday, July 29, and the Limerick Pride week starting on July 5 and running until July 14, which will feature a multitude of events from workshops, support meetings and discussions to evenings of music and club nights, to cater to the Pride needs of everyone.
