Limerick Printmakers autumn courses 2015 have been released and we have all the information listed below for you. As the summer draws to a close, it’s time to ignore the raindrops & get those hands busy.

Limerick Printmakers autumn courses 2015 offer a range of courses to suit every pocket & schedule, from an ‘Intro to Printmaking’ for those who would like to try a little bit of everything right through to dedicated courses in silkscreen, photo etching and even pinhole photography!
Limerick Printmakers are happy to offer a 10% discount to students/senior citizens/unwaged individuals on all courses (please supply relevant I.D. when booking/paying deposit)
Please note a deposit covering 25% of the course is required in advance to secure a place on any course.

September, beginning Tuesday 8th September (– Tuesday 6th October)
1. Method: Silkscreen with Derek O’ Sullivan
Level: Beginners/Improvers/Refreshers
Duration: Every Tuesday for 5 weeks
Actual Dates: Tues Sept 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th & Tues 6th October
Time: 7pm – 9pm (2 hrs per class)
Price: €120
Includes all printmaking materials e.g. paper, ink etc
NB: students must supply own latex gloves (if desired), pencils, Stanley knives/blades, masking tape etc2. Method: Pinhole Camera Photography with Bella Walsh
Level: Beginners/Improvers/Refreshers
Duration: Half Day – morning
Actual Dates: Saturday 26th Sept
Time: 10.30am – 2pm
Price: €25
Includes roll of film & all chemicals/materials
Student can get own film developed in any chemist after the course
NB: students must supply own latex gloves (if desired), pencils, Stanley knives/blades, masking tape etc
October
1. Method: ‘Intro to printmaking’ Multi Print Course with Suzannah O’ Reilly
Level: Beginners/Improvers/Refreshers
Duration: 2 Saturdays
Actual Dates: Sat 3rd & Sat 10th October
Time: 10am – 5pm both days
Price: €150 (covers cost of both days)
Methods covered: Relief, Drypoint, Monoprint, Chiné Collé, Collgraph, Carborumdum
Includes all printmaking materials e.g. paper, ink etc
NB: students must supply own latex gloves (if desired), pencils, Stanley knives/blades, masking tape etc
2. Method: Photoetching with Suzannah O’ Reilly
Level: Beginners/Improvers/Refreshers
Duration: 1 day course
Actual Dates: Sat 17th October
Time: 10am – 6pm
Price: €80
Includes all printmaking materials e.g. paper, ink etc
NB: students must supply own latex gloves (if desired), pencils, Stanley knives/blades, masking tape etc
3. Method: Film Processing with Bella Walsh
Level: Beginners/Improvers/Refreshers
Duration: Half day course – morning
Actual Dates: Sat 17th October
Time: 11am – 2pm
Price: €20
Includes use of chemicals etc
Students must supply own roll of film
NB: students must supply own latex gloves (if desired), pencils, Stanley knives/blades, masking tape etc
4. Beginning Monday 19th October (- Mon 16th Nov)
Method: Silkscreen on Fabric with Mary O’ Dea
Level: Beginners/Improvers/Refreshers
Duration: Every Monday for 5 weeks
Actual Dates: Monday 19th, 26th Oct, & Mon 2nd, 9th & 16th Nov
Time: 7pm – 9pm (2 hrs per class)
Price: €120
Includes all printmaking materials e.g. paper, ink etc
NB: students must supply own latex gloves (if desired), pencils, Stanley knives/blades, masking tape etc

Richard is a presenter, producer, songwriter and actor. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year (2011) and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards (2011) for promoting multi-culturalism online. Richard says that the ilovelimerick.com concept is very much a community driven project that aims to document life in Limerick. So, that in 20 years time people can look back and remember the events that were making the headlines.
