Limerick Printmakers are offering an array of courses in February & March including an Introduction to Art course, multiple courses in Silkscreen, a taster course in Photolithography, and an exciting new course that combines Monoprint with Two Plate Colour Etching. All Limerick Printmakers Spring Art courses are suitable for absolute beginners right up to improvers/those refreshing their skills. Limerick Printmakers also offer a 15% discount to students/seniors & those working less than 25 hours a week and for those interested in Limerick Printmakers studio membership, studio members receive a 30% discount on all Limerick Printmakers Spring Art courses. Pre-booking & payment of a deposit is essential on all Limerick Printmakers Spring Art courses.
Limerick Printmakers Spring Art will run three courses beginning in February. ‘Intro to Art: Explore Drawing, Painting & Print’ will begin on Tuesday, February 16th, 2018 and run for 8 weeks, concluding on Tuesday, March 27th, 2018. Tutor Brian Fitzgerald will oversee the course, which will run from 7 pm to 9 pm. ‘Intro to Art: Explore Drawing, Painting & Print’ aims to encourage and develop skill at all levels – regardless of whether you are completely new to art, have not held a pencil for many years or have previous experience but would like to get back to basics. The course will cost €185 at full price. For those availing of the 15% discount, the course will cost €157 and for those availing of the 30% members discount, the course will cost €129.

Limerick Printmakers Spring Art will also run ‘Silkscreen from Scratch’, which will begin on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018, and run for 8 weeks, concluding on Tuesday, April 17th, 2018. Tutor Derek O’Sullivan will oversee the course, which will run from 7 pm to 9 pm. ‘Silkscreen from Scratch’ is Limerick Printmakers most consistently popular course method while also being one of the most recognizable forms of printmaking there is. The course will cost €230 at full price. For those availing of the 15% discount, the course will cost €195 and for those availing of the 30% members discount, the course will cost €160.
Additionally, Limerick Printmakers Spring Art offer ‘Intro to Photolithography’, which will run on Saturday, February 24th, 2018 from 10 am to 6 pm. Tutor Brian Fitzgerald will oversee the course which is an excellent entry point into a method that is highly suitable for people with no previous printmaking experience. The course will cost €85 at full price. For those availing of the 15% discount, the course will cost €72 and for those availing of the 30% members discount, the course will cost €60.
Limerick Printmakers Spring Art will also run two courses in March. ‘Intro to Print: Two plate Etching with Monoprint’ will take place from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, the 3rd of March 2018 and Sunday, the 4th of March 2018. Tutor Suzannah O’ Reilly will oversee the course, which is aimed at those who enjoy creative experimentation while learning important practical skills, and who relish both the process and the outcome when creating artwork. The course will cost €170 at full price. For those availing of the 15% discount, the course will cost €144 and for those availing of the 30% members discount, the course will cost €120.
In addition, Limerick Printmakers Spring Art offer a ‘Silkscreen: Intensive Weekend’. ‘Silkscreen: Intensive Weekend’ will take place from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, 10th of March 2018 and Sunday, 11th of March, 2018. Tutor Derek O’Sullivan will oversee the course. ‘Silkscreen: Intensive Weekend’ will cost €165 at full price. For those availing of the 15% discount, the course will cost €140 and for those availing of the 30% members discount, the course will cost €115.
