Limerick publican Paul Mullins had his life suddenly changed after an absolutely thrilling win on the lotto, which made it a weekend he will never forget.
The Newcastle West man’s luck began when he called into his local BoyleSports betting shop on Friday, September 30, where he made a €10 investment on a Euromillions ticket, which ended up changing the course of his life.
Paul chose the numbers 1, 2, 11, and 26 and before he knew it, there was a weekend of celebrations for and his family as he won a whopping €330,000.
Paul Mullins lived in America for 31 years working in construction before moving back to County Limerick where he recently purchased a pub called Glen Bar in Kilmeedy. Paul is also a huge greyhound enthusiast and enjoys horse racing too.
Paul collected his winnings from the BoyleSports shop the following day where he expressed his gratitude for the staff and shared his ecstaticity. Paul said, “I must thank all the staff at the BoyleSports shop in Newcastle West. I’m over the moon and so glad to be picking up such an amazing amount of money, especially when it only took a tenner. I own a pub called Glen Bar in Kilmeedy and we will be celebrating this win and I might even buy a few greyhound pups!”
Leon Blanche, Head of Communications for BoyleSports said, “We have to hand it to Paul for turning his stake into such an eye-catching sum. It’s nice to see one of our regular customers rewarded so handsomely and we wish him the very best of luck with his total winnings of €330,000 from a total stake of €10.”
Paul and his family enjoyed celebrations at his bar in Kilmeedy.
Newcastle West locals and friends have been sharing their well-wishes to the Limerick publican Paul Mullins on social media. A Facebook user commented, “Brilliant Paul, many Congratulations! Enjoy your winnings!”
