Limerick’s Roller Jam

Limerick’s fantastic Roller Disco and Leisure Centre is located at City East Business Park, Ballysimon Road.

At last, we can relive our roller skating youth at Limerick’s leisure destination. The roller disco is a fun way to spend an evening with your friends and it’s great exercise too. Roller Jam caters for all parties and events and they provide the skates. Roller Jam is the perfect location for birthday parties, fundraisers, corporate/private parties, hen/stag parties, school tours, and just a fun day out!

In 2015, Roller Jam also introduced fitness classes. You can get fit in a fun and challenging way when you join the 90-minute SkateFit classes, run by the team captain of Limerick’s Roller Derby Girls.

Roller Jam does skate classes for those wishing to learn to skate, but too intimidated by the craziness of a rollerdisco. These are intense, one-day courses for adults and children, starting with a private group lesson, and then assisted skating during a public session. The kids class is 2 hours long, and the adults have a 3 hour long class.

On Thursdays, Roller Jam do a Family Night offer from 6:00-9:30pm. It’s only €40 for the admission of 2 adults and 2 kids, 4 slices of pizza and a pitcher of Mi-Wadi.

Roller skating made a small comeback after the film, ‘Whip It’, starring Ellen Page and Drew Barrymore. There have been a few roller skaters down in Limerick’s skate park in Mount Kenneth recently and some roller groups set up on Facebook. What really is amazing about Roller Jam, is that you can try out your old childhood hobby before committing to buying the roller skates for yourself!
