Limerick Central Rotary Club has announced its annual Remembrance Tree has raised €5,000 for Cancer Fund for Children

The Limerick Central Rotary Club Remembrance Tree, hosted in partnership with Castletroy Town Centre, has raised €5,000 in aid of the charity Cancer Fund for Children.
The Remembrance Tree was located in the Castletroy Town Centre during December, and a cheque presentation took place in the Limerick Strand Hotel on 23rd January.
Cancer Fund for Children provides support for children and young people (up to age 24) impacted by cancer, either by their own diagnosis or by cancer in the family. Every year they support over 1,500 children and young people across the island of Ireland. They deliver a broad spectrum of support: therapeutic short breaks, emotional support, community and home-based support, support on hospital wards, and bereavement support.
Denise Brazil, President of Limerick Central Rotary Club, commented, “We were overwhelmed again this year by the support for our Remembrance Tree, which provides an opportunity for people to remember a loved one who has passed away or was unable to be home for Christmas. We would like to thank everyone who visited the tree and so generously donated to support this wonderful charity”.
