Limerick people get ready to go Ho Ho Ho with your Santa Outfits this weekend. A fantastic and fun adventure for all above the age of 16, the event will take place this Sunday, December 2, 7:30 pm onwards.

The cycle convoy is set to begin at the Hurlers Pub making its way to the city and back to the Hurlers this Sunday evening.

Join the Limerick Santa Cycle initiative and bring along your loudest Christmas Cheer. For safety reasons, all participants are requested to carry both front and rear lights for their bicycles.

The event has had massive success in Dublin and Cork and is now all set to welcome Christmas in Limerick this year.

Straight Ahead, a medical support group is affiliated to the Children’s Medical and Research Foundation (CMRF), which supports children with orthopaedic conditions, including scoliosis.

Ray O’Dell, the organiser of the Limerick Cycle, expects over a hundred Santas to take over the streets of Limerick and across the country on their cycles and sleigh across the streets on the day for a greater cause.

Mr. O’Dell seeks public support for the initiative, as said to the Limerick Leader, “We are calling on the public to join and support us for a day full of enjoyment, with one common goal to do whatever it takes to help some of Ireland’s sickest children,”

The participation fee is priced at €30 with proceeds going in aid of Straight Ahead. Santa costumes can be collected at the Hurlers pub on the day of the event, 6:30 pm onwards.
