Limerick Youth Service and Music Generation team up for Limerick Summer Creative Arts Music Programme

Limerick Youth Service & Music Generation are teaming up for Limerick Summer Creative Arts Music Programme across the City & County! Staring on Wednesday, June 13th in Newcastlewest, the three-day Limerick Summer Creative Arts Music Programme will introduce young people to all aspects of the music industry including songwriting and playing instruments.

The Limerick Summer Creative Arts Music Programme will be delivered by experienced musicians and youth workers.  The camps are suitable for all levels, including beginners and if you don’t have an instrument don’t worry as some will be provided. Teenagers will have their song recorded and design the artwork for their own album.

The tour dates for this exciting summer of music will kick off in Newcastlewest Community Centre from the June 13 to 15, followed up by dates in Caherdavin Community Centre from the June 19 to June 21 and in County Library in Doordoyle on the June 27 to June 29. Limerick Youth Service will host the tour on the July 2 to July 4, while Askeaton Community Centre will host the tour on July 4 to 6, followed by dates in the Factory Southside Youth Space on July 10 to 12 and Youthreach on July 18 to 20. The tour will conclude with a final stop in Kilfinane Community Centre on July 24 and 25.

This Limerick Summer Creative Arts Music Programme costs €25 for the 3 days (11am-3pm) & is suitable for young people (12-17yrs).

A member of Youth Work Ireland, Limerick Youth Service remains committed to connecting with young people and supporting them to reach their full potential.

Music Generation is Ireland’s National Music Education Programme that transforms the lives of children and young people through access to high quality performance music education in their locality. Through partnership, we create rich and diverse ways for participants to engage in vocal and instrumental tuition delivered by skilled professional musicians, across all musical genres and styles.
