Chairperson of Limerick Together for Yes, Yvie Murphy said, “It means a lot for us to have this visibility in the city so close to the referendum.  We know how tough this campaign is for people and want to make sure that our volunteers and members of the public have somewhere to go to not only inform themselves about the referendum but also to have a place to go where they can avail of support from our skilled self-care team.”

Limerick Together for Yes Self-Care Team member, Karen Sugrue commented, “At this time, with the referendum taking such a heavy toll on the emotional well-being of people across the country, self-care and mutual support has never been more important.  We want to provide a safe, friendly and supportive space where anyone who has been impacted by the debate on the 8th Amendment can drop in and know they’ll be welcomed and supported.”

Following on from that Margaret O’Connor another member of the Limerick Together for Yes Self-Care Team said, “We are running it as a drop in space if people want to talk to us individually and find out about supports and services and also make use of mindfulness sessions we are running throughout the coming weeks.”  Both Karen and Margaret are qualified and experienced in counseling, psychotherapy, and mindfulness. At least one member of the team will be present in Ormston House should the public want to drop by and meet with them.  All money raised will go to support the local and national Together for Yes campaign.

Limerick Together for Yes Ormston House will be during the following days/times:

12 pm – 6 pm Tuesday, May 15th – Saturday, May 19th (inclusive)
