For more information or to register please contact Ellen at [email protected].

Training for Transformation

Training for Transformation is a training programme based on the theories of Brazilian educationalist Paulo Friere. The programme is delivered using interactive methodologies based on experiential learning. The overall aim of the training is to encourage the development of skills to support volunteering at community level. Although not a personal development course there is a focus on how individuals operate in groups and communities. This is then placed within the context of the wider society in the social analysis elements of the programme.  It will be delivered over 5 weekends, 10am – 4:30pm each day, every second weekend from March 12th and 13th. To participate in this course ideally you will be engaged in community work, in a paid or voluntary capacity. This could include those engaged in community development, women’s equality, parish work, youth work, climate activism or similar. You must also be available for 75% of the course. For more information or to book a place contact Yvie at [email protected].
