Covering 12-hour shifts, we raised all that money for a fantastic cause which is so close to our heart and has affected lots of our families.”

The Irish Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day took place on March 22nd 2024 and is the Society’s flagship fundraising day where communities across Ireland turned yellow as they took to the streets to raise funds and give hope to cancer patients and their families.

The evening included an official cheque presentation to representatives from Irish cancer Society and recognition of key contributors and volunteers.

The Limerick Women’s Shed also announced their upcoming table quiz which takes place this Friday, June 14 at the Unicorn Bar, where special guest quizmaster for the night, Bernard O’Shea will host a night “Guaranteed fun and laughs from beginning to end”.

Eimear Scully, co-founder and Vice Chairperson of the Women’s Shed, said, “Everybody is more than welcome to come. Tables of four per team, loads of prizes, loads of support, and we just really want to thank everybody for all the support so far.”
