Drew Media in association with Colm O’Brien Motivation is proud to present Limericks Top 40 Under 40, a celebration of extraordinary Limerick people who, on a daily basis, are striving to make their lives, and the lives of others, better.

Forty honourees were chosen from a shortlist of over 100 people by the Drew Media team and their sponsor, Colm O’Brien Motivation.

Some of the honourees include World Rugby Referee and Sports Person of the Year Joy Neville, the first Irish person on target to go to space, Dr Norah Patten and Drew Media’s Lifetime Achievement Award winner, former World Champion Boxer Andy Lee.

“We’re in the business of celebrating and what better way to recognise the achievements of some of our wonderful citizens from Limerick City and County than to honour them at a black-tie gala ball in May,” said April Drew, founder of Drew Media.

“With the backing of local businesses who have sponsored some of the awards, we are able to give thanks and recognition to this diverse range of individuals who have achieved something great in their various roles in life, some in sport, others in business, charity, the arts and many more,” shared Drew, who worked as a journalist in New York for nine years.

Speaking about being honoured as a part of Limericks Top 40 under 40, Sinead O’Brien of Sinead’s Curvy Style said, “I’m absolutely delighted to be honoured for Limericks Top 40 under 40. Obviously, everyone that is awarded on the night puts so much work into what they do and I am so passionate about what I do so it’s just great to be recognized”.

Spin South Wests Meghan Skully was also announced as one of the honourees for her work on her recently released book that shines a light on coping with grief. Skully said, “I’m absolutely honoured and delighted to be selected as one of Limericks Top 40 Under 40. I’m so delighted to be in this group with some amazing people and the night is going to be so much fun

Drew Media has joined forces with Colm O’Brien Motivation in bringing this event to the forefront of the Limerick social calendar. O’Brien has lent his name to the event along with other local businesses including Kilmartin Educational Services, WP Engine, Ingenium Training and Consulting and Catwalk Limerick who have all sponsored several of the honourees.

“I jumped at the chance to get involved with Limericks Top 40 Under 40 when the opportunity arose with April and her team at Drew Media. The calibre of wonderful people we have here in Limerick is phenomenal and this is a wonderful opportunity to pay homage to all the great work undertaken by some of Limerick’s great ambassadors, some of whom who have put our county on the map in international circuits,” said O’Brien.

Limericks Top 40 Under 40 Awards will take place with a black-tie gala at The Strand Hotel on Friday, May 25th.

People from Limerick are encouraged to come and celebrate the wonderful honourees and their achievements. Tickets are €75 per person or a table of 10 is €700. Tickets can be purchased at here.
