It’s an exciting time for Limerick’s Live 95fm radio station as it unveils a new look and tagline ‘Live 95 – Limerick’s best music mix’, which can be heard on the air and seen on Live 95’s website, social channels, promotional vehicles and signage.

Speaking about the new brand, Sales and Marketing Manager, Julie White said “We are really excited to launch Limerick’s Live 95fm new logo. It reflects our place at the heart of the Limerick Community and our on-going commitment to provide the best service to a modern, confident Limerick.”

Live 95fm was proud to win a Gold Award at the 2018 IMRO’s for ‘Remembering Dolores’, the special tribute coverage of the death of Cranberries star and Limerick native, Dolores O’Riordan and ‘Local Station of the Year’ in Ireland and the UK at the 2018 Wireless Awards.

Live 95’s ‘95 Stop Tour for Limerick Kids 2018’, the station’s major annual charity initiative for ill and vulnerable children concluded with a ‘Limerick Today’ outside broadcast on Christmas Eve in the Parkway Shopping Centre. This year we raised €57,000, which brings the total raised for the tour over the years to 660k and the beneficiaries for this year are the Children’s Ark/Neo-Natal Unit at the University Hospital Limerick, Cliona’s Foundation and CARI.

Live 95’s schedule includes Breakfast with Mark and Catriona, the three-hour Limerick Today Show with Joe Nash, Afternoons with Declan Copues, the Live Drive with Gary Connor and Live at Night with JP Dillon. The schedule, as always, delivers up-to-the-minute Limerick news and sport and more great music you can’t get enough of, too. Live 95fm is once again the most listened to radio station in Limerick City and County and has grown its audience over the last 12 months. The popularity of the radio station is clear as 65% or over 100,000 Limerick people tune-in to Live 95 weekly, according to the latest Ipsos/MRBI JNLR radio listenership figures published this week, covering the 12 months to the end of December 2018.

Station Director of Live 95, Joe Nash said “We are pleased and proud to have maintained our position as the most listened to radio station in Limerick. The power of radio, in general, is obvious from this survey, showing 82% of Limerick people are tuning in to a radio station every day. We are honoured to play our part and serve the people of Limerick – they are at the forefront of everything we do on a daily basis.”

Richard is a presenter, producer, songwriter and actor. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year (2011) and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards (2011) for promoting multi-culturalism online.
