LTSP is a non-profit volunteer organisation founded in 2018, dedicated to patrolling the river in Limerick during the night, offering support to individuals who may need someone to talk to. The team is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment where anyone feeling isolated or distressed can find a listening ear.

LTSP believes in the power of connection and understanding and is there to help people through difficult times.

Organisers say they are looking forward to welcoming supporters on the night and celebrating the journey the organisation has shared with the community over the past eight years.

Speaking about their mission, the group say, “Your support is vital to the work of Limerick Treaty Suicide Prevention. Every day, we provide care, understanding, and hope to individuals and families facing mental health crises or suicidal thoughts. Our mission is simple and urgent: to prevent suicide and ensure no one faces crisis alone.

“We rely on the generosity of our community to continue this life-saving work. Donations directly fund essential equipment such as uniforms, jackets, and PFDs, as well as outreach, awareness campaigns, training, and support services”
