Treaty United’s Madison McGuane named as the April SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division Player of the Month

Madison McGuane has been named as the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division Player of the Month for April 2026. 16-year-old Madison, who is also an Irish international, has had a great start to the season with Treaty United.
Madison is one of the most exciting young talents emerging in Irish women’s football. A midfielder from Limerick, she has quickly risen through the ranks from grassroots football at Pike Rovers to becoming a senior player with Treaty United and a standout performer for the Republic of Ireland National team.
Laurie Ryan, Treaty United Women’s Manager, said the award is recognition for a player who has been “outstanding” for the Treaty United side.
She said, “I’m delighted for Madison to receive this recognition, she’s been outstanding for us and it’s been fantastic to see her and the team’s performances acknowledged. She’s still so young and continues to improve every week, which is really exciting for us as a club and for the league as a whole.”
Madison’s impressive performances have seen her collect several major honours through her young career, including SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division Player of the Month (May 2025), Women’s Premier Division Young Player of the Year, FAI Women’s Under-17 International Player of the Year, and PFA Ireland Women’s Young Player of the Year.
At international level, she has represented the Republic of Ireland at both U17 and U19 level, captaining both sides during European Championship qualifiers. Congrats Madison!
