Manufacturing Solutions 2019 brings unique Business Opportunity to Ireland

Ireland and the UK’s leading machine tool suppliers will be afforded the unique opportunity of face-to-face meetings with multinational manufacturers at this year’s Manufacturing Solutions Ireland, to be held in LIT Moylish Campus on Wednesday June 12, 2019.

Following on from the unprecedented success of the Mid West based event over the last two years, ‘Meet the Manufacturers’ is a new and innovative element to the popular trade show and conference, organised by UK based Gauge and Tool Makers Association (GTMA) and Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT).

Leading manufacturers from aerospace, medical and materials processing companies will meet directly with suppliers, manufacturers and service providers as part of a direct business-to-business matchmaking event organised by Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Northern Ireland and Enterprise Europe Network Ireland.

More than 100 of the most advanced providers of metrology, inspection, machine tools, work-holding, cutting tools, and Cad/Cam/PLM manufacturing software and ancillary products and services will be exhibiting at the event, along with the popular CNC demonstrations.

The British Embassy and UK Department for International Trade have also lent their support to the event this year, which is expected to attract more than 600 visitors from multinational, indigenous and SME companies.

British Ambassador to Ireland H.E. Robin Barnett said, “This important event highlights the innovation, skills and talent to be found in manufacturing technology and engineering companies across Ireland and the UK. It reaffirms the important trading relationship between our two countries and opportunities to collaborate and build strong partnerships to deliver new, innovative solutions to a global marketplace.”

GTMA Chief Executive Officer, Julia Moore said, “Manufacturing Solutions is an opportunity to highlight engineering excellence, share ideas and help find a way to foster closer relationships and profitable opportunities in the wake of Brexit.”

President of LIT Professor Vincent Cunnane added, “When it comes to technology, LIT plays a leading role in ensuring manufacturing in this region continues to have the ability to adapt and to change and remain at the cutting edge. It is fitting therefore that our successful partnership with the GTMA allows us to bring leading technology suppliers together allowing for the transfer of technology from the specialist suppliers to the practical industrial landscape.”

Manufacturing Solutions Ireland 2019 has also expanded to include a special designated zone for Irish SMEs organised by the PTMA (Precision Turned Parts Manufacturers Association) who will highlight their members’ capabilities, products and services as a collective body.

In a year of firsts, the Energy Efficiency in Industry Conference will also be co-hosted at LIT on June 12, 2019.

Manufacturing Solutions Ireland will take place in LIT, Moylish Campus on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, from 8.30am to 5 pm and is supported by PTMA, Enterprise Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, The UK Department for International Trade, Fexco, Limerick Chamber, and Regional Skills
