Limerick country music singer Marion Kelly is set to take the stage on the 21st season of Glór Tíre, as the country searches for Ireland Country Music star

Marion Kelly will represent the Treaty County on Ireland’s longest-running country music TV series, Glór Tíre, on TG4 with this year’s season running from March to April with the first four episodes already recorded in January.

In its 21st season, Glór Tíre, Ireland’s only Country Music Competition series, celebrates yet another year of exceptional Irish Country Music. This season promises to showcase both established stars and fresh talent, as eight new contenders take the stage in pursuit of glory. 

Marion took to the stage with both a solo performance and a performance alongside her mentor, Mike Denver, the Galway singer is one of Ireland’s most popular country music singers. Also being mentored by Mike Denver is Jack Larry from Donegal who is one of eight contestants.

Marion will be joined by seven other country music talents from across the country with all hoping to become Gór Tíre Country Music Champion 2025.

The other contestants are John Mullan from Derry/Tyrone, Erin Noone from Meath, Michaela Harkin from Donegal, Conor Owens from Fermanagh, Paddy Treacy from Fermanagh, and Jack Gadney from Carlow. 

Each mentor – Mike Denver, David James, Cliona Hagan and The Tumbling Paddies has two contestants each. The judges Jó & Caitríona are joined by a guest judge each week and must choose one contestant to save and one contestant who will face the public vote in the first live elimination programme.

This year’s season runs from March to April with the first four episodes already recorded in January.

Richard is a presenter, producer, songwriter and actor. He was named the Limerick Person of the Year (2011) and won an online award at the Metro Éireann Media and Multicultural Awards (2011) for promoting multi-culturalism online. Richard says that the ilovelimerick.com concept is very much a community driven project that aims to document life in Limerick. So, that in 20 years time people can look back and remember the events that were making the headlines.
