The Marion Murphy Cooney Fashion Galentines event at The Savoy Limerick was a spectacular event celebrating elegance and incredible fashion

The Galentines fashion event featured the stunning work of Marion Murphy Cooney as the Limerick designer launched her Spring/Summer 2025 collection complemented by the amazing hats from Jennifer’s Hat Emporium and stylish bags from By Reiden.
Hosted by I Love Limerick’s Richard Lynch, The Savoy Limerick set the perfect ambience with a luxurious afternoon tea service, making the event a classy and sophisticated gathering.
Attendees were treated to a surprise musical performance by renowned singer Denis Allen who will be celebrated at an upcoming special evening at the Lime Tree Theatre, and models from the Holman Lee Agency took Marion Murphy Cooney’s latest designs to the catwalk.

Marion, known for her meticulously tailored occasion wear, unveiled three striking looks. The first set featured a vibrant teal suit, an Aztec print jacquard ensemble, a best-selling drape-neck jumpsuit, and a lilac tailored suit with brocade detailing.
The second lineup dazzled with a Chanel-inspired power suit, a monochrome leopard print two-piece, a dramatic black jumpsuit, and a sleek satin black suit.
The third round showcased Marion’s signature Mother of the Bride collection, featuring her iconic “Lisa” dress with a removable overskirt, a vibrant pink jumpsuit, a tailored peplum suit, and a refined lilac ensemble.
Reflecting on the event, Murphy Cooney posted to Instagram, saying, “A day to remember! Thank you The Savoy Limerick for hosting a spectacular afternoon tea with a difference! Richard Lynch from I Love Limerick hosted the event and it was safe to say he certainly entertained everyone.”

Marion’s creations are exuberant, facilitated by her emphasis on cut, a perfect grasp of style and a keen eye for colour.
They are pieces for day-to-day living as well as life events. They have repeatedly caught the attention of the discerning buyer as well as having been courted by celebrity clientele
Her studio, based in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, allows her to work closely with local master craft people. This reflects Marion herself; harnessing the organic talent while never compromising on quality and style.
