See what Mary Immaculate College Open Days 2017 have to offer you

Mary Immaculate College Open Days 2017 takes place on Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20 from 9 am to 3 pm on MIC Campus, Limerick.

On the day students will have the chance to talk to current MIC students, faculty and staff and have an opportunity to tour the campus and the state-of-the-art facilities. You will also be able to learn about programme content, career options and find out what else college life has to offer, including the wide range of clubs and societies. Information will also be available on entrance scholarships now on offer across all of MIC’s nine undergraduate degrees, as well as study and working abroad opportunities.

As well as programme stands in the Tailteann Sports Facility there will be individual talks on MIC’s nine undergraduate programmes which will take place in the LimeTree Theatre in the Tara Building.

Presentations will be given on the great Bachelor of Arts (MI002) programme, offered in collaboration with UL. This programme now provides students with a wider choice of subjects to choose from – 19 in all. Students can choose from a set of 13 subjects taught at Mary Immaculate College and can now take one subject from their partner institution, the University of Limerick.

Talks on the increasingly popular BA in Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies and the four secondary school teaching programmes on the MIC, St Patrick’s Campus, Thurles will also feature.   MIC, St Patrick’s Campus, Thurles offers four concurrent degree programmes that are designed to prepare students to become second-level teachers. The programmes include:

BA in Education, Business Studies and Accounting (MI009)

BA in Education, Business Studies and Religious Studies (MI010)

BA in Education, Irish and Religious Studies (MI011)

BA in Education, Irish and Business Studies (MI012)

In addition, attendees will be able to learn more about the College’s established programmes in Education, including Early Childhood Education degrees, as well as a wide range of Continuing Professional Development offerings for teachers and numerous postgraduate opportunities to Masters and Ph.D. level.

Mary Immaculate College Open Days 2017 will be of particular interest to Leaving Certificate Students, mature students and those interested in postgraduate studies.
