Mary O Donovan of Marry Me Weddings Crowned Industry Winner in Celebrant Industry Awards

The very first Celebrant Industry Awards was held virtually as it live-streamed on Facebook with over 56 Celebrants attending via Zoom to see who would be revealed as industry winners across weddings, funerals, naming and vow renewal professions.

Viewers were treated to live singing by Dave Octave and supported by wedding and funeral profession judges. Local Celebrant Mary O’Donovan held her breath as the glittering slides revealed each winner before they were crowned as Best National in the 2021 The Celebrant Industry Awards!

Mary O’Donovan winner of the Best National 2021 is a Wedding/Vow Renewals/Naming Celebrant covering Munster and further afield said of winning the awards,

“Being a Best National 2021 TCIA Winner has blown me completely away! I absolutely love what I do and to receive the number of nominations and votes I did, and then ultimately have my work judged by a jury of my peers and come out a winner is truly amazing!”

The event was hosted by the founder of The Celebrant Directory, (sponsor of the awards), Jennifer Constant – a Celebrant herself of over 11 years, author, coach, trainer, and the biggest advocate for the Celebrant industry:

“I am so immensely proud of all the winners and everyone who was nominated for these awards. These are your awards, it’s a huge accolade for our community and for your business. The goal behind these global awards was to recognise those delivering excellence as nominated by fellow Celebrant colleagues, industry suppliers, couples and families and I feel they have done exactly that.

There have been many challenging events over the past year and Celebrants have really been instrumental in being the glue which has held ceremonies and celebrations together. Huge congratulations to Mary O’Donovan Celebrant at Marry Me Weddings.ie  winner of the Best National 2021 Award you are truly amazing!”

Celebrant Mary O Donovan said, “I am so honoured to win this award as I love what I do. It feels like a calling for me. A part of my role as a celebrant is to recreate moments and memories for all present and to involve everyone in the couple’s journey of togetherness. I consider it a great honour and privilege to be part of a couple’s wedding day. It is so amazing to be in the presence of such love and absolute joy. I am always so excited to deliver a ceremony that reflects a couple’s love and uniqueness and to help create the perfect atmosphere for a wonderful day which you will remember for the rest of your lives.”
