Limerick Masters Swimming Club Irish Open 2019
The Irish Open Long Course Masters Championships 2019 will be held at the University Arena 50m Swimming Pool, on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd March 2019.
Next Weekend 1st & 2nd March sees almost 400 swimmers descend on UL Arena Limerick for the hosting of the annual Irish Open Long Course Swimming Championships.
Again, this year they are offering a full programme of events, with the 1,500M event taking place on Friday evening, followed by a full day of swimming on Saturday.
There will be some changes this year – a new event has been added – 400IM, and we return to the 4x50m relay format!
The post-gala entertainment will be held in the Castletroy Park Hotel, and we invite you all to join. Tickets may be purchased here

Limerick Masters swimming club is a competitive masters club that has a passion for swimming, healthy lifestyle, quality coaching and good fun.
The Club has over 80 members made up of all ages from 18 years and upwards. We train four times a week in the University of Limerick pool and Grove Island pool. Members compete in numerous galas, and open water swims throughout the country. The club organises the Irish Open Long Course Championships in March of each year at UL Arena and also organises the Thomond Swim which takes place in the River Shannon in Limerick City during the summer months.
