MIC Limerick Taster Sessions on Campus Event 2017
On Friday, 28th of April (11am-1pm) Mary Immaculate College will welcome hundreds of students to MIC Campus, Limerick as part of the MIC Limerick Taster Sessions event.
According to Patrick Cosgrove, Student Recruitment Officer at MIC; ‘The MIC Limerick Taster Sessions Event is growing in popularity every year with students getting the first-hand experience of a real lecture, a chance to tour the great facilities at the College and an opportunity to meet faculty members. The event will be of particular interest to current leaving certificate students in helping them make their final decision on what programmes to include on their CAO Application form.’
Programmes on offer on the MIC Campus, Limerick include the Bachelor of Arts (MI002) degree programme. This programme now provides students with a wider choice of subjects to choose from – 19 in all. Students can choose from a set of 13 subjects taught at Mary Immaculate College and can now take one subject from the partner institution, the University of Limerick.
In addition, MIC offers an exciting BA in Contemporary and Applied Theatre Studies and highly sought after programmes in Education, including Early Childhood Education degrees.
€100,000 Entrance Scholarship Scheme:
Commencing in September 2017, MIC will also offer a total of 50 entrance scholarships to incoming undergraduate first-year students across all nine undergraduate programmes currently on offer by the College. These scholarships, valued at €2,000 each, will be offered on the basis of results obtained in the Leaving Certificate Examinations. Speaking on the announcement, Prof. Eugene Wall, Vice President and Registrar of MIC, said: “We are delighted to launch these scholarships and we can be confident that the financial supports provided by this scheme will make Mary Immaculate College an even more attractive choice for students”.
Attendance at the Tasters Sessions is by registration only. Spaces are limited and available only on a first-come-first-served basis.
