Comedian Pat Shortt and his daughter, actress Faye Shortt, launched the event on Sunday, August 22, at the Milford Care Centre to launch the Milford Hospice Coffee Morning 2021.

Hosting a coffee morning in your home, outdoors or in the workplace is easy and so rewarding.  It is an opportunity to invite your close family, friends, colleagues or community to have get together and help raise vital funds in support of the services at Milford Hospice.

Faye said, “Hospice care is so vital to our community. Funds raised by hosting a coffee morning can really make a huge difference to somebodies life.”

If you cannot host a Coffee Morning, you can attend one socially distanced outdoors, or even with your neighbours.

A virtual coffee morning, whether it’s 3 or 10 guests, could be a great way to catch up with friends and family while also supporting a fantastic cause.

Regardless of how you host your Coffee Morning or where, a Host Pack with Bewley’s Coffee will be sent out to hosts you to help host them with their morning.

If you are unable to host your Coffee Morning on Thursday, September 23, you can choose any date in September and only if you feel comfortable in doing so.

Milford Care Centre want to ensure that their supporters stay as safe as possible, so please ensure that any Coffee Morning event that you carry out adheres to Government Guidelines that are in place at the time of the event.

The Milford Care Centre is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation and registered charity. It was first established by the Little Company of Mary Sisters in 1928 and provides multiple services such as Hospice at Home, a Nursing Home, Day Care for older people and those with palliative care needs, as well as Bereavement Support for families.

Milford Care Centre would like to thank everyone for their support to-date and hope to see as many people participate as they can.

With your support, the Milford Hospice Coffee Morning 2021 on September 23 will be a day to remember for hospice care throughout the Mid-West Region.
