Come and support the Milford Hospice Harvest Fair on August 27

The 32nd Milford Hospice Harvest Fair will be taking place on August 27 at the University of Limerick Sports Arena. This year’s theme is family fun and as this year is the Hospice’s 40th anniversary it promises to be bigger and better than ever with the fun starting at 11 am.

For 40 years, Milford Care Centre has provided the best possible hospice care to the people of the Mid-West. They have always relied on the strength and support from the community to serve their patients and their families from counties Limerick, Clare and North Tipperary.

This year there will be ice-cream, music everywhere, kids entertainment, raffles, a specially designed kids zone with activities planned for the younger ones including a brand new puppet show, and lots of other fun activities for the young at heart. There will also be a BBQ, cakes stall, pancakes, pig on a spit, popcorn, cool drinks, the wheel of fortune, many stalls selling lots of goodies, and lots more.

Milford Hospice are encouraging everyone to come and join them this year with your friends and family to make it the biggest Milford Hospice Harvest Fair yet. Help them continue to provide the highest level of care to our patients and their families for another 40 years and more.

They would be so grateful if you are in a position to help and drop in your goodies to them. For freshly baked goods you can drop in on the day of the Fair.

For everything else, they would appreciate if you could drop off items to the Harvest Fair drop off point at the bottom of the main car park on the grounds of Milford Care Centre.

Donations will be accepted from:

  • Monday 14th August to Thursday 24th August inclusive.
  • Books are being accepted from the 14th August to the 18th August.
  • Baked Goods and Cakes on the day of the harvest fair at the Limerick Arena

They are blessed with a very generous and talented community that brings home-made crafts, jams, cakes and baked goods, along with donations of wine and spirits, plants and flowers, pre loved gifts for the wheel of fortune, children’s toys, brick-a-brack and this year they are looking for any hamper baskets you could donate to them.

Please note that they cannot accept furniture or electrical items at this time.

The building is well on the way for our 34-bed state of the art hospice on the grounds that will provide the highest standards of specialist palliative care for all, with an estimated date of opening of December 2017. They would appreciate your help in any way.

Milford Hospice would like to thank you for your amazing generosity as always.
