Miss Moore doing us proud

Since winning the You’re A Star competition in 2008, Limerick lady Leanne Moore has worked hard at creating opportunities in both print and broadcasting after completing her post-graduate diploma.

With sold out panto shows at the Gaiety in Dublin, a number one single and singing at Eurovision in Dusseldorf with Jedward, Leanne was chasing her dreams. Then sadly, last July, she lost her first journalism job after 15 months due to the closure of the Irish News of the World, but now things are looking up!

She has had a very busy start to the New Year getting her teeth into a number of new work ventures in Dublin. Not only has she landed a new column writing for The Sunday Times and been named Domino’s new Entertainment Correspondent for TV3’s Ireland AM.

Leanne also took the time to launch her very own online website. The site details all the Limerick singer has achieved in the past three years with news, regular updates and blogs, so self-confessed ‘home-bird’ Leanne can fill us all in on life in the big smoke.

With rumors rife that Leanne is to re-join Jedward for the upcoming Eurosong contest on RTE’s The Late Late Show next next month, I’m sure there will be a few more interesting tales to be told.
