St Saviours Drama Group stage their World Premier and 14th original production, ‘Mission Impossible’ at the Belltable on the 2nd and 3rd of May 2023

St. Saviours Community Drama Group is staging its newest play ‘Mission Impossible’ at the Belltable on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 2 and 3. It will be the group’s thirteenth original production.

Written by St. Saviours Community Drama Group, Director, Karen Fitzgibbon said, “This brand new comedy drama explores the military world and its hilarious outcomes when wires are crossed and words are misinterpreted.” 

Karen noted the group were embarking “on a new road with this genre of theatre”, saying, “It is a bold and brave move for St. Saviours, writing a brand new storyline, yet again!  Expect drills, spills and a hearty choir!  The challenge never seems to faze this group and this year is no exception,” Director, Karen Fitzgibbon.

Mission Impossible is an impossible mission! Whilst a section of army recruits, ‘Operation Brava’ prepare for their passing out parade, an important item goes missing from the Sergeant’s office.

With their precious ceremony in threat, all hell breaks loose as the cadets set out to locate the mysterious missing item. The search leads the band of brothers and sisters to the most unlikely places. What could possibly go wrong?

Mission Impossible’ opens at the Belltable on May 2nd and runs for two nights only! Tickets €7.

St. Saviours Community Drama Group who formed in 2011 in the CIE club, as a pilot community drama group with six members and no expectations.  Eleven years later, St. Saviours have emerged as one of Limerick’s most active Community Drama Groups, with 13 previous sell-out shows under their belt, three short films, a STAR Award nomination and the upcoming world premiere of their new play ‘Mission Impossible’ at the Belltable, opening May 2nd and running until May 3rd.  

The group are thrilled to get back on the Belltable stage this spring with their hilarious, new comedy drama ‘Mission Impossible’.  Tickets are selling fast at the Lime Tree Theatre and the Belltable box office on 061/774774.
