The apprenticeship program which combines class-based learning with hands-on experience offers aspiring engineers the chance to kickstart their career in a dynamic and high-tech environment. Apprentices will earn while they learn and at the end of the program will have a national qualification in their specialism.

Apprentices will be based in Modular’s state-of-the-art 100,000 square-foot facility where they can expect to learn from the team of experienced toolmakers, technicians, and engineers in a supportive environment where they can develop and grow their career.

Since starting as an apprentice toolmaker in 2005, production manager Alan O’Brien’s career has seen him move through an apprentice to project lead to team lead and, ultimately, to his current position.

Alan highlights the important role apprentices play in the business. “It’s an exciting time to join Modular as an apprentice. The business continues to grow driven by Ireland’s commitment to becoming one of the top locations for MedTech manufacturers.”

“Our apprentices play a key role in our business. An apprentice needs to have an interest in hands-on work, have great attention to detail, a good communicator and enjoy working in a team in a fast-paced environment.”

Modular are searching for people with a strong academic record that includes project work in STEM subjects. If you have a strong interest in engineering, and an enthusiastic and positive attitude they would like to speak with you.
