The youth artists from West Limerick were aged between 10- 18 years old and the young people are from different cultural socio-economic backgrounds representing the multi-cultural demographic of West Limerick. This project forms part of Foróige’s renewal application for the TUSLA Investing in Children award.

Investing in Children provides an award to organisations that demonstrate a commitment to dialogue when working with children and young people that leads to change. Investing in Children has been working with Tusla Prevention, Partnership and Family Support to develop a quality assurance process across TUSLA in relation to participation.

“The young people really enjoyed this project, they got to meet up and hang out while doing a project that enhances a space in their community. It shows the young people that they can make a difference. It’s important that they are involved in all aspects of decision making so they know how to create solutions to challenges,” According to Elaine Williams, Foróige Youth Officer.
