Limerick City Tidy Towns Monthly Award May 2018 goes to Be Your True Self

Limerick City Tidy Towns have presented their monthly award May 2018 to “Be Your True Self”, a counselling and psychotherapy service located at a beautifully maintained basement premises at 78 O’Connell Street.  Pictured outside the property being presented with the award by Maura O’Neill of Limerick City Tidy Towns is Pauline O’Brien, Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and owner of the business.

Maura says “As everyone who follows Limerick Tidy Towns’ projects knows, one of our biggest obstacles is accessing and cleaning the city’s many neglected basements, and it is therefore most heartening to see one maintained as beautifully as Pauline keeps hers, particularly given its prominent location on our main thoroughfare.  The spotless paintwork on exterior walls and front door, pretty flowers in the windows, pot plants and beautifully painted honesty flower logo turn this basement property into a warm welcoming space which shows just what potential these properties offer for other businesses in Limerick.  Pauline is a native of Limerick and is passionate about contributing positively to her city which is clearly reflected in the efforts she makes to maintain this lovely basement”.

Pauline is a fully accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist who offers workshops and one to one sessions in an open, friendly and engaging space, designed to facilitate positive change and empower participants to reach their goals, aspirations and dreams.  She started “Be Your True Self” in 2011 and moved into her current premises in 2016.  Pauline specialises in a wide variety of services, including Vision Board Workshops, Guided Meditation and Mindfulness Coaching, Personal Development and Assertiveness, Indian Head Massage Therapy, Bereavement Counselling, Grief and Loss Programme, Stress Reduction and Management Workshops, and much more.

“Be Your True Self” is Limerick City Tidy Towns’ Monthly Award May 2018, which is the fifth monthly winner for 2018, following St Michael’s Rowing Club in January, Foot Solutions in February, La Fromagerie in March, and Portleys Bar in April, and will be in with the chance of winning this year’s overall prize at their annual event to be held early in 2019.    

If you wish to volunteer with Limerick Tidy Towns they meet every Sunday morning at 11 am at the corner of Thomas Street and O’Connell Street, and on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm outside The White House Pub.
