Get ready for the most anticipated racing event of the year! The Christmas Racing Festival is set to take place from St. Stephen’s Day, December 26th, through December 29th, 2024, at the Limerick Racecourse, drawing crowds from near and far for four exhilarating days of racing, entertainment, and holiday cheer.

The festival organisers are thrilled to announce Mr Binman as the main sponsor of the 4-day festival, saying, “A brand that shares our commitment to community and sustainability, Mr Binman is the ideal partner for this event, with an extensive customer base that aligns with our target audience and a dedication to green initiatives.”

Commenting at the press launch of Christmas Racing Festival 2024 CEO Limerick Racecourse Michael Lynch said, “We are thrilled to be working with such great partners on what is the pinnacle of our Racing Year and Indeed we look forward to growing attendances significantly over the 4 days of Racing and creating great memories and experiences for all our attendees.”

Big Boss Events joins the festival this year, One of Ireland’s leading event planners, bringing their unique flair that captivated audiences known for curating unforgettable experiences, Big Boss Events is dedicated to creating a vibrant atmosphere that caters to all—from seasoned racegoers to those experiencing a race day for the very first time.

Each day will feature diverse attractions, finishing off the festival with a Family Fun Day on December 29th, presented in association with the ISPCC. Four Days of Festivities and Racing Action The Christmas Racing Festival is expected to welcome nearly 20,000 attendees over the four days, offering a significant economic boost to Limerick, particularly for local hotels and hospitality venues.

Each day promises unique highlights beginning on Day 1, Thursday, Dec 26th as the festival Kicks off with one of the year’s most highly attended racing days, Big Boss Events, planning on bringing the Big Boss Top which has hosted some of Europe’s biggest musical artists, adding a dynamic, festival-like experience.

Day 2, Friday, Dec 27th will see Ladies Day with the Holman Lee Agency presenting a dazzling fashion show after its recent success at the Munster National Weekend. Expect even greater flair this December as we take the show to the next level.

Organisers said, “We are all looking forward to Celia and all of her models to showcase their amazing style. After a great day of racing racegoers can now look forward to a thrilling clash between Munster and Leinster rugby.”

Day 3, Saturday, Dec 28th features the prestigious Faugheen Grade 1 race with massive prize money of €100k up for grabs, this day is not to be missed by racing enthusiasts. Here there will be some amazing acts to announce to close out what is anticipated to be an amazing day.

A Fmaily Fun Day for Day 4, Sunday, Dec 29th, in association with Horse Racing Ireland, invites families to enjoy a festive day filled with activities and supports the ISPCC’s important work.

“Here we have so much to offer for the kids such as play areas/ Carnival rides/ Games areas plus much much more. Additional Highlights For added convenience, attendees can take advantage of our shuttle buses running from Limerick City to the racecourse each day,” Said event organisers.
