The non-profit volunteer organisation, founded in 2018, is dedicated to patrolling the river in Limerick during the night, offering support to individuals who may need someone to talk to.

Their team is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment, where anyone feeling isolated or distressed can find a listening ear.

Limerick Treaty Suicide Prevention believe in the power of connection and understanding, and is there to help people through difficult times. They say, “Your well-being matters to us, and we are just a conversation away when you need assistance.”

As well as their outreach work, the group recently announced the launch of “Limerick for Lee” a Facebook group to support Limerick boxer Lee Reeves in his recovery.

Announcing the group’s mission, LTSP said, “This group is for everyone coming together across Limerick City and beyond to support Lee Reeves. The idea is simple, we want to see Limerick come together and do something for Lee.”

Calling on the public for their support, the group say the challenge, whether it is big or small will add to the support for the Roxborough man. They ask people to organise an event, whether it is a run, walk, cycle, boxing match, or other events; they say, “Big or small, every action makes a difference”.
