At the Music Generation Flood Fundraiser, musicians from across Limerick came together to raise emergency funds for those most affected by the recent floods in Limerick City.

For one night only, on Monday February 17th, an incredible line-up of Limerick talent shared a stage at Dolans Pub.

Windings, Leading Armies, Protobaby, the Funk Junkies, Kat Turner, MYC, Eamonn Hehir, My Name is John & Godknows and Moley O Súilleabháin are some of the bands who graced the stage at Dolans for this worthy gig.

The waters recede, the news cycle moves on, but communities are left coping with devastation, disruption and destruction.

This benefit gig will be followed up by a community event in St Marys, in which Music Generation Limerick City will present the cheque and young people from Music Generation Limerick City projects will perform. More details to follow.

See www.musicgeneration.ie/programmes/details/music-generation-limerick-city for updates.

So, that in 20 years time people can look back and remember the events that were making the headlines.
