MyMind Limerick opens new centre

Mental health charity MyMind is delighted to announce the opening of a new, bigger centre in Limerick.

MyMind has moved from 66 O’Connell Street to the nearby 50 O’Connell Street – allowing the charity to provide accessible and affordable mental health services to more clients in the community.

MyMind was founded in 2006 by ex-Googler Krystian Fikert as a not-for-profit provider of accessible mental health care. MyMind has Dublin, Cork and Limerick centres, providing counselling, well-being and psychotherapy services either online, face to face or in the workplace.

MyMind charges are based upon employment status, allowing the unemployed or full time students to access services at vastly reduced rates. In addition, revenue generated from full fee clients is reinvested, enabling MyMind to provide affordable services to all. New clients may self-refer and appointments are usually made within 72 hours of contact.

The new MyMind Limerick centre now has more than double the capacity to serve MyMind clients and is located in the heart of the city. MyMind Limerick first opened its doors in 2014, and has already provided more than 2,000 appointments.

MyMind CEO Krystian Fikert said about the new Limerick centre opening, “We are very proud to be in our third year of providing a high quality and accessible mental health service for the people of Limerick.

“The continued growth of MyMind in Limerick shows that there is a great demand for affordable care for those who need it, and we are delighted to be able to meet this demand with a bigger centre and a growing team.

“We are dedicated to growing and improving our presence in Limerick for many years to come.”

If you are worried about your mental health and want to speak to a member of the MyMind team, please call the Limerick centre at 061-27-93-75 or email [email protected]. The MyMind national number is 076-680-1060.
