Narrative 4: Ann Blake with Special Guests will present a night of magical story-telling, telling tales of Limerick.

A Narrative for Limerick: Ann Blake with Special Guests

A Narrative for Limerick brings together some of Limerick’s wonderful story-tellers, who will share stories from their lives connected to the theme of “Limerick”. The unique story-telling event will be hosted by Limerick actor and play-write Ann Blake, taking place on Wednesday, August 14.

The special guests that will take part in the event include Helena Close, Dr. Sindy Joyce, Sarah Moore Fitzgerald, Dan Mooney, Monica Spencer, and Pauline Goggin; all people who are known to Limerick and have unique knowledge of this vibrant and diverse city.
This event brings the usual monthly Narrative 4 community storytelling event to a bigger stage, marking the end of a busy year for the organisation. Ann Blake is a local actress in Limerick, recently taking part in the Guna Nua theatre’s presentation of Bread not Profits.

The organization was founded by Irish author Colum McCann. Narrative 4 is a global non-profit that harnesses the power of personal stories to build empathy and break down boundaries in society.

In the past year, Narrative 4 has trained one hundred teachers and youth workers from around Ireland to run their story-exchange programme in their schools and communities, thanks to funding from Creative Ireland and the Social Innovation Fund Ireland.

More recently, two young people got to travel to New Orleans to connect with other socially conscious young people from around the world and learn to be leaders in their own schools.

The “A Narrative for Limerick” storytelling series has run monthly for the past year and is delighted to invite back some of it’s most popular hosts, as well as some new ones, for this fun event that shares the true, honest and heartfelt stories that make Limerick special.
