‘A Welcome Back to Narrative 4’ takes place for Culture Night 2022 on Friday, September 23 and runs from 6 pm – 8 pm. Everyone is welcome to the Narrative 4 programme space on 58 O’Connell Street for an evening featuring visual art, music, and words from local artists Maurice Quillinan, Laura Duff and much more.

Maurice Quillinan’s work evolves from a search for the memory of the landscape. Maurice also draws figures from old master’s studies. He sees the figures as landscapes in themselves or sculptures in an environment, Quillinan believes we exist as memories, ethereal, multipartite, incomplete particles, constantly in a transitional longing to become whole again.

Laura Duff is an award-winning artist. Laura was selected as the Paul Clancy Songwriter of the Year at 2015’s Irish Youth Music Awards, and as Circuit Festival’s Music Project Awardee and Arts Council Agility Awardee in 2021.

Following her debut EP, ‘For Your Company’, Laura released her sophomore EP, ‘Heavy Summer’ in December 2021, another taste of her own brand of charismatic alternative pop. She is currently working on her debut album.

Culture night is a national moment, celebrating culture, creativity and the arts and seeks to actively promote the belief that this rich and varied culture is alive, treasured and nurtured in people’s lives, today and every day.

It is delivered nationwide in cities, towns, villages, and rural locations all across Ireland, as well as online and through our media partners.

Doors are open late. Special and unique events are specifically programmed at participating locations. All activities are made available to the public free of charge.
