Nuero Pride Ireland and members of the Limerick Neurodivergent community are inviting the people of Limerick and beyond to a cosy winter gathering at the Bandstand in the People’s Park on January 3, 2026.

This will be a cosy daytime connection circle and is an alchohol and drug-free event, whether the day turns out to be chilly or sunny, the group invite you to bring warm things: hot water bottles, cups of hot chocolate, thermoses of soup, animal companions – on lead or otherwise safely secured, hand warmers, and comfy things that make you feel warm and fuzzy like blankets and comfort items.

Some portable seating will be available, but if you have a favourite camping chair or pillow, the group recommend bringing this as you are able.

Organisers said, “We welcome your stims and dressing/expressing in a way that makes you feel good, showing up in the way that feels most real to you. It is ok just to come and sit and be present silently, to take sensory breaks, and to wear headphones, masks, or sunglasses as needed.

“People experiencing all forms of neurodivergence are welcome at Neuro Pride, which includes those with personality adaptations, mood conditions, neurological conditions, cognitive differences and lesser known neurotypes as well as those with more well-known forms of neurodivergence. Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.”

The bandstand is accessible for wheelchair users, has a roof and a concrete floor, and is otherwise open to the air.

An accessible bathroom, the public toilets near People’s Park, will be available within a 5 minute walk/roll. Additionally, there is a cafe at the People’s Park where toilets, hot beverages, indoor seating, and food can be found. The outdoor space is likely to be more sensory-friendly on a Saturday.
