Limerick native and photographer Niamh O’Halloran brings her debut exhibition, ‘Clouded Vision, Clear Views’ to the People’s Museum of Limerick from October 1 to 8
Limerick photographer Niamh O’Halloran brings ‘Clouded Vision, Clear Views’, her debut exhibition to The Blue Room in the People’s Museum of Limerick running from Tuesday, October 1 to October 8.
Presented by “The Skies the Image,” the exhibition kicks off with an opening night event on October 1 at 7 PM and will feature a diverse range of artworks that explore themes of clarity and obscurity, encouraging viewers to find beauty in both the seen and unseen.
The exhibition, a deeply personal piece of work, rooted in the photographer’s experience during the COVID-19 lockdown where she was inspired to focus on the sky as her main subject. This perspective sparked her interest in natural light and texture and helped shape Niamh’s photographic vision, with the photographer believing “your eyes serve as the finest lens”. She encourages all those with a creative spirit to step beyond their comfort zones and have faith in their abilities to “Create but most of all enjoy.”
Outside of her photographic pursuits, Niamh is the HR Manager at Smithstown Light Engineering in Shannon, a company with deep ties to Limerick. She finds great fulfilment in this role as it enables her to cultivate and advance her vision for the development and growth of people. In her leisure time, Niamh divides her time between Limerick and the beaches of Kerry, which she fondly describes as her “sanctuary.”
Niamh is excited to present ‘CLOUDED VISION, CLEAR VIEWS’ as her premier exhibition and in such a beautiful venue. Thanks to the People’s Museum for all their wonderful support, advice and assistance in launching The Skies The Image!
“Art in all it’s ethereal forms whether it be the beauty of the written word, a visual or a carefully crafted piece of music can transform the way we see ourselves and in turn how we engage with and view the World.”
