The Nightflyers casting call says the role requires specific measurements and are important as costumes are made prior to filming. It also specifies that shooting will take place on Monday, April 16 and Tuesday, April 17 with possible additional shooting dates until April 25. Interested actresses must be available for shooting for the whole day.

The series, which is filming in Limerick’s Troy Studios, recently unveiled the first look. The series is a production of NBC Universal and Universal Cable Productions and is adapted from the 1987 novella of the same name from Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin. Netflix will co-produce the series and will have first-run rights to the series outside of the US. It is due to air on the Syfy Channel in the US and on Netflix worldwide.

Many well-known names are included in the cast for the much-anticipated series, including Ireland’s Eoin Mackin, as Karl D’Branin and Brian F O’Byrne as Auggie.

International stars are also included in the cast, such as David Ajala (Fast & Furious 6) and Gretchen Mol (Boardwalk Empire).

The series has provided hundreds of jobs for Limerick people, requiring hundreds of extras as well as a 30% local crew. The series began production in February and is expected to continue into the summer. It is estimated that the Troy studios could generate additional annual revenues of €70 million for the mid-west economy, but also further spin-out benefits across the region to support the large crew involved.
