Incredible local talent Nile St. James to play Dolans Friday, December 1st

The amazingly talented Nile St, James will be playing Dolans on December 1st at 8:00 pm.

An artist that delves into realms of the heart and comes forth bearing brutally-honest lyrics and an emotionally fuelled performance of soaring, soulful vocals and captivating arrangements, Nile St. James is quickly establishing himself as a reputable soul artist in the Irish music industry.

A native to Limerick City, 24-year-old Nile St. James found solace in the arts at a young age, taking to the records of Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder to escape from every day, spiriting away into the world of 1950’s soul music.

With vocals rooted in these early day influences of soul, Nile merged his powerfully honed voice with raw and honest lyricism. With stories birthed from living in Dublin City for three years, Nile shares experiences of city life, love, loss and social injustice. The result is an artist that brings to the stage an emotional performance and story that tugs at the heartstrings of listeners.

Accompanied by a six-piece band (The Vibes), Nile St. James performs a set Funk, Soul and Blues original works that summon the comparisons of Stevie Wonder, Etta James and Aretha Franklin. Nile St. James premiered his debut single ‘FELL FOR YOU’ on August 18th, 2017, having established a sturdy national following through a year of touring, the single debuted at No.1 on the Soul/RnB charts and No.6 on the Irish Charts. As well as currently being featured on playlists RTE radio1, RTE 2fm, and Today FM. Nile St. James will be touring Ireland December along with a six-piece band The Vibes.
