Pádraig was awarded this huge honorary award by the Pieta House Darkness into Light Committee on June 4, 2021.

Pieta House has been around since 2006 and has since seen and helped over 58,000 people in distress or contemplating harming themselves.

Padraig who has down syndrome is from Knockainey in Co. Limerick believes in spreading positivity in not only Limerick but around the world! Pádraig is known for his podcast series and motivational Mondays strategically named his ‘Paudcast’ series.

Pádraig began his Paudcast series last March throughout the lockdown. Each of Pádraig’s Paudcast episodes are sixty seconds long which include him talking about issues such as cyberbullying and body shaming to create awareness and to bring positivity about these situations.

Pádraig has incredibly received nationwide attention having recently appeared on RTE news on March 31 along with his mum.

Padraig’s father Brian, who is the owner of Limerick based sustainable company EcoStraws.ie helps him to create his motivational videos. The Paudcast series can be found on the social media platforms of Ecostraws.ie and since its beginning, the series has found itself going global, with Pádraig spreading his message of positivity to people all over the world.

Speaking on the amazing support and publicity that his Paudcast’s have recently received, said, “Hi guys. Thank you so much for your amazing feedback to my ‘Paudcasts’, I started this paudcast last year as a way of keeping busy, staying out of trouble, and spreading some positivity. I hope you can take some joy, and motivation from them and maybe even added determination to stay at home for another little while so we can beat this pandemic. Thanks again, and stay safe, Pádraig. X”

Well done to Padraig on this outstanding achievement from everyone at I Love Limerick! Keep up the amazing work.
