National Parent’s Week 2014 and the Launch of LoveParenting.ie

National Parents Week and Launch of LoveParenting.ieAs part of National Parents Week (October 20-26), Parenting Limerick is delighted to announce the upcoming launch of LoveParenting.ie, an exciting web-site that will be a one stop shop for information and support on Positive Parenting. Parenting doesn’t come with a manual, but this website will ensure that practical advice and support is just a click away.

As part of the development of LoveParenting.ie, Parenting Limerick is holding a Positive Parenting Event on Wednesday, October 22 from 10:30-12:30 in the City Library in The Granary. They hope to gather views and ideas from parents and carers on what parenting supports they really want and need.  All parents and carers of children are welcome to join them (children are very welcome, too!)—we will have a series of interactive workshops on positive parenting, lots of information, a photographer to take photos of you and your child and light refreshments.

The members of Parenting Limerick believe that parenting is the most important job in the world, but it is also the most challenging. Children need a warm, positive relationship with their parents and carers in order to develop to their full potential, and parents and carers need to feel confident and supported in their parenting role in order to nurture these relationships. This is what Positive Parenting is all about, but that doesn’t mean that it is easy.  The LoveParenting.ie web-site is being developed to provide support when you most need it.  Parenting should be a fun and rewarding experience, but you really don’t need to do it alone!

So, that in 20 years time people can look back and remember the events that were making the headlines.
