Parnell Plaza 2Sharon says “This new food and entertainment venue situated directly opposite Colbert Train Station has been a wonderful addition to the streetscape of the area, and an attractive first impression for visitors to the city.  The property is finished to the highest specifications, both inside and out, with luxurious furnishings and state of the art equipment.  The beautiful paintwork and overall appearance of the facade has rejuvenated this part of Parnell Street and it is clear that much effort has been put in by the owners, management and staff to provide a high quality entertainment venue and wonderful new facility for the people of Limerick and visitors to the city. It is wonderful to see the improvement on Parnell Street over the last year, and with the planned redevelopment of the Railway Station, this is hoped to go from strength to strength”.

Parnell Plaza opened its doors to the public in September 2013 and Pery’s Bingo is the city’s newest bingo venue, holding up to 404 seats in luxurious, comfortable surroundings.  There is also the Timeout Casino and Card Club, the Charlie St George Pub and the Vero Restaurant which offers a wide variety of top quality food.  The venue is well worth a visit and for more information please visit their website www.parnellplaza.ie or call them on 061 279900.

Parnell Plaza is the fourth recipient of Limerick Tidy Towns’ monthly awards for 2015, with The Stormy Teacup having won in January, Thomas Street Framing Centre in February and Bobby Byrne’s in March.  An overall winner will also be chosen at the end of the year and previous winners from 2014 are eligible to win again in 2015 simply by keeping up the good work.  Indeed, if members of the public wish to suggest future winners from any properties they feel merit the award which the Tidy Towns may miss, please do let us know.
