The long-awaited Pat and Faye Shortt tour ‘Well’ will be performed live at University Concert Hall Limerick on Friday, April 2, 2022.

The father and daughter comedic duo are delighted to be back on stage and are touring all around Ireland this coming Spring.

The Pat and Faye Shortt show ‘Well’ follows the unfortunate demise of Dad and Daughter Country and Irish music duo as they do their best to rise to the heights of their local music scene by playing a gig in the town’s hotel.

‘Well’ showcases the extraordinary comedy talents of the pair and their amazing ability to bring humour to the most everyday situation with an array of remarkably funny characters.

The pair have written and performed two online comedy shows together, ‘The Wellness Hour with Paaah and Sile’, and ‘Pat Shortt’s Comedy Heads’,which both received amazing feedback.

Pat Shortt is a household name in Ireland after creating the RTÉ show Killinaskully and the hit song “The Jumbo Breakfast Roll.” His daughter Faye is a graduate of the Gaiety School of acting, and ‘Well’ will be her first time performing on a live tour.

The duo works brilliantly together, and Faye has told I Love Limerick that she and her father have a great time when working together, saying, “I see dad more like a friend when we work together, this helps majorly when creating work because there needs to be an air of play and fun to create comedy.

Never in a million years did I think I would end up working with my dad, I feel very privileged to have been asked to work alongside him. I look up to my dad a lot and have learnt invaluable traits from him. Dad’s work ethic is remarkable and has always inspired me to give 100%. The film industry is not easy and can be very disheartening especially when you first begin the audition process. Dad taught me to never wait around for the auditions to come in but to create work for yourself, to put yourself out there and keep creating the work for yourself. To be honest, myself and dad have great craic when we work together, I see dad more like a friend when we work together, this helps majorly when creating work because there needs to be an air of play and fun to create comedy.”

‘Well’ is presented by the Shortt Comedy Theatre Company and takes place at UCH on Friday, April 2, 2022. Tickets are €30.
