Petmania, Ireland’s leading pet care expert, is excited to announce the grand re-opening of its refurbished Limerick Eastpoint store following a major transformation.
Having served the local community since 2007, this state-of-the-art destination store introduces a completely new shopping experience to the Ballysimon Road, bringing expert care and interactive retail to the heart of Limerick.
The newly refreshed location is a one-stop shop for all things pet care. Alongside the high levels of expertise customers have come to expect over the last 19 years, the store now features an expanded state-of-the-art dog grooming studio, an enhanced healthcare department offering over-the-counter solutions, and microchipping services for both cats and dogs.
Designed to be a pet paradise, the store introduces several new interactive elements, including a specialised pet bakery, a dedicated “Sleepzone” to help owners find the perfect bed, and a personalised ID tag station.
Looking ahead, Petmania is also expected to introduce a professional cat grooming service, as well as operating an in-house dog grooming training academy, up-skilling and training dog groomers for positions a Petmania’s stores both in Limerick and across the West of Ireland.
Speaking about the reopening, Natalia Smelkowska, Limerick Eastpoint Store Manager, said, “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome our customers into our new store. Having been part of the Limerick community for 19 years, it’s incredibly special for us to see so many familiar faces returning, and we’re equally excited to welcome new customers and their pets through our doors for the first time.
“This refurbishment reflects our commitment to creating a true home for pet owners in the area, offering somewhere they can access expert advice, grooming, training, and interactive experiences all under one roof. We’re also delighted to support local animal rescue charities, giving something back to the community that has supported us for so long.”

To celebrate the reopening and the long-standing relationship with the local community, Petmania is hosting a week-long charity drive from Saturday 23rd to Friday 29th May. During this week, Petmania will donate €1 for every €10 spent in-store to two vital local animal rescue centres.
Mollie Moo’s Rescue: Currently caring for 80 dogs seeking forever homes.
DEEL Sighthound Rescue: Specialising in the rehabilitation and rehoming of Greyhounds and Lurchers.
Customers are also encouraged to drop off donations of pet food, healthcare items, or cash at in-store collection points throughout the week.
The Grand Opening ‘Pawty’
Local pet owners are invited to the official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday 23rd May at 12:30pm. The “Opening Pawty” promises a fun-filled day for humans and four-legged friends alike, featuring a live DJ, special guests, and prizes up for grabs. Plus, the first 40 pet owners to make a purchase on the day will receive an exclusive goody bag filled with toys and treats.
