A look back at the first launch of Pieta House Darkness Into Light Limerick 2010

In 2010 Richard Lynch of ILoveLimerick.com organised the very first launch of Pieta House Darkness Into Light Limerick at the Limerick Strand Hotel and brought some very special Limerick faces together to help support and publicise the charity event.

Richard was joined at the shoot by Nora Conway, Manager of Pieta House Limerick and a group of very talented Limerick personalities – television host, actor and creative writer, Kamal Ibrahim, writer, director and actress Maeve McGrath, actress and comedianne Frances Healy, writer and presenter Michelle Mc Mahon, comedienne Karl Spain, singer Hollie O Donoghue, musician and filmmaker Shane Serrano and singer Julie Anne Dineen, who has sadly since passed away.

Darkness into Light is a unique, early morning fundraising event, which begins in darkness at 4.15am as thousands of people walk or run a 5km route while dawn is breaking. It is the main source of funding for the charity Pieta House.
