The Pig n Porter Festival, Ireland’s largest tag rugby festival, will take place on Saturday, July 9. The festival, which will celebrate its fifteenth year running, will be held in two venues – Old Crescent RFC and the University of Limerick.

The Pig n Porter Festival 2016 will run from Friday, July 8 until Sunday July 10. The qualifying rounds of the competition will be held in both UL and Old Crescent RFC. All teams that are playing in UL are required to register in UL and not Old Crescent RFC.

Both venues will have the same standard of entertainment with food and soft drinks available throughout the day. There will also be toilet facilities in both venues. The festival will have plenty of facilities to entertain every age especially bouncy castles and various other forms of entertainment will be on hand to keep the kiddies entertained.

At Old Crescent RFC, 46 teams will play their group games on 7 pitches here before being joined by the qualifiers from UL for the knock-out stages and finals.

Teams will be informed of the venue that they’re playing at beforehand. Therefore, on the day of the competitions, the teams are required to register at the venues they’re playing in.

Once the group stages have been completed, all players will have free entry to Old Crescent RFC. They can enjoy the latter stages of the competitions as well as the festivities for the evening.

The festival is incredibly thankful for the generous support of main sponsor Bulmers, and associate sponsors, Bord na Mona, Keanes Jewellers, PBC Construction, Limerick Hotels Association, Shannon Airport, Davis Printers, Dennehy Motors, NKC Karting, and the University of Limerick Sports Campus.
