Polish Family Fest Fundraiser May 19

On Sunday May 19 The Old Quarter on Little Ellen Street will transform into a huge Family Fest. A group of Polish people together with few local businesses have come together to organise this event to help Tomek Suberlak in his battle against Leukaemia. Tomek, 31, who is a father to 4 year-old Maja and husband to Marta, was diagnosed with Leukaemia in Regional Hospital just one day after St Patrick’s Day and since then is fighting against the cancer. Organisers have put a lot of effort into making sure there is plenty for everyone to do, for men there’s an opportunity to try out air-soft shotguns and admire Harley Davidson motorbikes and ladies will have a chance to get invaluable advice from professional make-up artists. There will be zumba and salsa classes, a raffle, an auction and much more. There are many activities for children including face painting and thanks to Limerick City Fire Brigade, a chance to see a fire engine in action. Food lovers should prepare for a barbecue offering vast range of grilled meat including massive selection of different kinds of Polish sausages and for those who prefer to indulge their sweet tooth there will be a huge variety of pastries as over sixteen ladies offered their baking skills for the event. Family Fest starts at 2pm, entrance is free, however €5 voluntary tickets will be available at the doors. All proceeds will go to Tomek and his family. All are welcome!

19 maja w pubie The Old Quarter przy Little Ellen Street odbędzie sie ogromny Rodzinny Festyn. Grupa przyjaciół oraz ludzi dobrej woli zebrała się razem aby pomóc Tomkowi Suberlakowi w jego walce z białaczka. Tomek został zdiagnozowany w połowie marca tego roku i od tego czasu walczy z chorobą, w tej walce towarzyszy mu jego żona Marta oraz 4-letnia córeczka Maja.Organizatorzy festynu zatroszczyli się o to, aby każdy znalazł coś ciekawego dla siebie. Panowie będa mogli postrzelać  z wiatrówek czy przymierzyć  się do niejednego Harleya Davidsona, Panie natomiast będą mogły się poradzić  profesjonalnej makijażystki, która przyjedzie aż z Galway, a dzięki uprzejmości Straży Pożarnej z Limerick dzieci będą miały niepowtarzalną okazję zobaczyć  wóz strażacki w akcji. Dodatkowo dla najmłodszych przewidziano lekcje tańca, malowanie twarzy i wiele innych atrakcji. Dla smakoszy przygotowany zostanie duży grill, z którego będzie można sprobować  wielu polskich (ale nie tylko) przysmaków. Dla tych, którzy wola coś na słodko szykuje się prawdziwa uczta, gdyż aż szesnaście Pań zoaferowało swoje umiejętności piekarnicze, a więc można się spodziewać szesnastu różnych, pysznych ciast. Dodatkową atrakcją bedzie aukcja, na której będzie można wylicytować  wiele wspaniałych przedmiotów, między innymi voucher na kolację do restauracji Russels, miecz Samurajski z ręcznie zdobioną rekojeścią, modele statków w butelkach, kosze z winami, a nawet szafę firmy Komandor! A to wszystko przy dźwiękach dobrej muzyki. Festyn zaczyna się o 14, wejście jest bezpłatne, jednakże, dla chętnych będą sprzedawane pamiątkowe bilety “Cegiełki” w cenie €5. Wszystkich serdecznie zapraszamy!!
