‘The young people will display what Pride means to them through art pieces, music and rainbow themed food,’ said Olivia adding ‘they will also be preparing for Limerick’s Pride Parade which takes place the following day, Saturday, July 13.’

‘Although attitudes have changed there are still young people for whom ‘coming out’ can be a lonely and tough place and that is where our group helps,’ said Olivia. The group meet every Friday at Lava Javas Youth Café where LGBTQI+ young people can meet friends or access support and information on issues such as sexuality and gender.

A member of Youth Work Ireland, LYS remains committed to connecting with young people and supporting them to reach their full potential.
