Earcake is a production company in Limerick ran by Myles O’Callaghan and Aaron Walsh. They offer are range of services such as recording, mixing, video, web and graphic design. Myles has played with countless bands over the years such as Better Than You, Grumpy Sailors, Paper Pawns and many more giving him vast experience on playing in the Limerick music scene.
Whilst in these bands there was never a place to go that offered a bundle deal to help an up-and-coming band to get there feet off the ground. This was the main reason why Myles set up Earcake, to help new artists get the services they need at an affordable price so they can get their image and music out there.
So far Earcake have a range of up-and-coming acts, such as Niall O’Halloran (The Voice of Ireland), Chris Stoodley (last year’s contestant on The Voice of Ireland) and Aaron Hackett (RTE’s The Hit).
Aaron Walsh takes care of the video side of Earcake production. He works alongside the team at Woodland Sessions which gives performers the chance to record an acoustic video in a woodland setting. Niall O’ Halloran, one of their own acts has performed in a Woodland Session and proved to be a very intimate set. Woodland Sessions is one you should certainly checkout. You can find them here.
Earcake also host an open mic night every Wednesday night in The Blind Pig. This gives new acts around Limerick the opportunity to come perform and connect with other musicians around Limerick. Every second week the team from Woodland Sessions comes to record the acts performing at the open mic night. You can check the open mic night here.
If you are a singer but do not play an instrument Myles can play guitar, piano, bass and drums so he can provide you with that backing track that you are looking for. Earcake is the first stop production company for up-and-coming bands and singers as it offers affordable prices and quality service.
